Earth Shattering Announcement!

So the name of my new band is going to be "I am the Culprit". It was agreed that it was a pretty kickass fucking name for a band. I never thought the name of my blog would end up influencing the band name but that's how life works!

Since that is the name of my blog I suppose I might need a new name for it. Suggestions people? Or can I get away with it staying the same?

You won't hear anything from this band for about a year since some of us are in different cities and won't be relocating until the summer. You will see awesome brutality however. Don't you worry.

So today was good. I didn't get any of what I wanted to get done done but whatever.

I just found out my best friend and her fiance are coming to visit in November. This makes me UBER excited!! I am hoping my little brother can make it here for my birthday. I will be one sad panda if he can't. I really want to see Norma Jean and La Dispute with him as well. SO BAD.

So even though twitter was abuzz with hockey team rivalries (and apparently my facebook wall too... err...) at least everybody agreed that MAPLE LEAFS SUCK. Hatred of the Maple Laughs (as my dear hubby -lawl- Colin puts it) is the glue that binds us together as Canadians as far as I am concerned. Speaking of Colin... Buy his shares on empire avenue cause he's cyoot - and tell him to make me chicken pot pies please. Then join the hockey pool. (e)COLEAG

Awesome hockey game tonight.

They sure as hell better sign Morrison or else I will be so heartbroken! He was creating amazing opportunities. He IS a Canuck and he BELONGS on this team!

Luongo looked excellent tonight as well, and I think Henrik and Daniel are both going to be among the top goal scorers in the league. This year HAS to be our year for the cup.

Alberts played a solid game tonight, although I cannot shake memories of last year so I have yet to reserve judgment without more proof that he's changed his bad penalty game killing ways.

Tonight I am feeling more confident about Burrows being out for the next month and Salo being out for most of this season with his torn Achilles (Salo, I know and feel your pain there as Achilles are a BITCH and it's about time that you STOP injuring yourself - you're getting infamous for it!). I miss both of them on the ice though. I did enjoy Burrows commentary on Canucks TV for the past couple of games however. :P

I'm feeling worn down and eventually I think I'll just end up sitting in my cubicle in tears if this keeps up.

Every branch has 3-4 people doing what I do by myself, and yet I'm dumped with a group additional to my own and they have 3 people who could easily handle the job.

The frustration I feel with this whole scenario is beyond words.

Then I come home and I'm struggling to make ends meet. It's really a slap in the face. I will rise to the occasion like I have for the past year - but at the very least you could pay me what I'm worth.

I don't think people realize exactly how much I've taken on, and how the stress has been literally eating away at me not only when I'm at work, but now in my home life too.

I may be smart and competent but I am not a machine.

I'm taken for granted because I'm nice and I don't feel secure enough to put down my foot and say no.

I don't think any of the people I work with even realize what I have been going through. They've all lived privileged lives. They don't realize that if I had the opportunities that they had all been given I would probably be a trauma surgeon or a volcanologist or a lawyer or a psychologist.

These people don't know that my aptitude test's first result was neurosurgeon, then nuclear physicist then a fucking rocket scientist.

These people don't know that any other person in my shoes right now would fail miserably. It's true. The only other person who is even remotely close to my working situation is on stress leave and has been for months.

I like my job and the people I directly work with. I just hate that when I come home I can't even have a toilet that fucking works. I hate that I only own one pair of pants that I have to wash over and over again every day. I hate that my shoes have holes in them and when it rains my feet are wet and because I don't have proper foot support I am in pain all day. I hate that I have a tooth that hurts and even with my benefits I can't afford to fix it. I hate that I have a car I can't even drive, that I have to carry my groceries and pet food on a bus and then walk a kilometer. I hate that every simple thing I need to do takes the entire day and takes significant effort.

Sorry, but I'm at a point where I need to let it out or it's going to consume me. I don't even have anybody here to talk to.

I'm alone, I'm stressed, I'm struggling. It's all so unnecessary.

I wish somebody, anybody would take their head out of their ass for a minute and try to walk in my shoes.

Canucks lost both games - although it is definitely not a sign of things to come.

It was nice to see Morrison back in a Canucks jersey! He's hungry for the cup and I think he came back cause he knows this is the team that will give him the best shot to do it.

Predictions for this year:
Canucks top Northwest Division and make (kill) the playoffs.
Colorado will probably make playoffs, Calgary is iffy if they will.
Edmonton will be fighting with Toronto for last place again. Fag-neuf is going to blow a gasket through his shit hole at some point live on television.

4 Days Until Hockey!

So today was crazy busy at work and now that I'm home for the weekend I'm finding it hard to unwind.

Today I had a surprise that somebody is going to be visiting me from BC for my birthday - which is awesome.

I am planning on upgrading on Empire Avenue tomorrow for those of you who are wondering.

In other news, I highly encourage you guys to watch some of those New York tornado videos - people's reactions and stupidity are actually rather hilarious! All potential Darwin Award winners if you ask me.

5 Days!!

So today I slammed my finger in the drawer at work. It wasn't that bad but there was a sharp edge and I cut myself up pretty decently. My poor nail bed was bleeding where it meets the cuticle. I was proud of myself for not yelling profanities when I did it. LOL - unlike that time the fire alarm went off last year and the office heard me yell FUCK really loudly because I was standing underneath it - they heard me before they realized the damn alarm went off. Hahaha. I think I need to work on that.

Anyways.. so now to work on my interview thingy - stupid session timeouts. Still fuming about that one.

Bed Time

Six days until hockey starts! Very excited for this season, but sad that Mitchell has been traded to LA.

I had very strange dreams last night. Incredibly vivid and really unexpected. Every now and then I have a dream like that and it makes me aware of something that I wasn't aware of before. This was one of those dreams. Sometimes it's a good thing and sometimes it isn't. I still haven't determined if it is or not yet.

Anyways, it's been a long day so I'm off to get some sleep.

All I want is for something that resembles autumn! Not some crappy summer that goes straight into winter. I want warm air please!

Anyways - Tomorrow is Tuesday, which means I'm sad because it's not Friday. This weekend seemed to slip past me. I was so very sleepy for some reason so I kind of feel like my weekend was robbed from me a bit.

I posted a link to a CTV movie in a blog entry below this one. I strongly encourage you guys to watch it. It is absolutely heart shattering. I'm sorry, but if your cultural beliefs make you justify killing your own children - then your culture and beliefs are abhorrently EVIL. I do not believe that this is actually a religious issue, as apparently this happens in the Sikh community and other religious communities as well. It just disgusts and saddens me that such a barbaric thing could come from a group of human beings. To me it isn't even a human quality at all. To treat a person as your possession is completely wrong.

I hope they are all castrated at the hands of a woman.

I pray your daughters are liberated and learn how to fight back.

These girls are martyrs as far as I am concerned. God bless them all and may their souls rest in peace.

When I heard about the law they wanted to pass in Afghanistan that would ultimately legalize the rape of women and children - and allow their deaths by starvation if they did not have sexual intercourse with their neanderthal husbands - it made me remember the very reason why our troops are in Afghanistan and made me realize that this is something we as Canadians absolutely have to fight for.

I felt so passionately about it I actually wrote a song appropriately titled "Ladies Get Your Guns".

Sunday Night

I can't believe there is only one day left in this long weekend. I feel as though today should be Saturday because I was so wiped yesterday I slept pretty much the entire day - which is totally not like me at all.

Lately I've been feeling a lot of stress and anxiety. I need to figure out how to control it before it gets the best of me.

So Mom and Russell went home on Tuesday.

This week has been quite busy work-wise so I've been trying to go to bed super early every night to mitigate my stress levels.

I am soooooooo looking forward to next summer when Russell moves in with me. We are going to have such a blast together - I just know it.

Anyways, it's a long weekend coming up so I am looking forward to some relaxation.

For those of you who were wondering.

My mom and brother are still here. The plumbing is fixed which is awesome. I wish I got to spend some quality time with them however. It doesn't look like there is going to be any fun involved with this visit.

It makes me sad. 20 months since I've seen them and we can't even stop for a minute to enjoy each others company. It's not what I expected this trip to be like. I'm finding it really depressing. I appreciate and am grateful for all the help I've gotten, but beyond the plumbing and the yard none of the other stuff really matters. I was content with just seeing them.

None of them get it though. I don't care about the other things. I care about getting to see them and having a good time. That's what matters.

I'm just a bit overwhelmed. I was told one scenario and got a completely different one.

No. Just no.

You don't get to see him nearly everyday and then bitch about him coming to see me for 10 days when I haven't seen him in 20 months.

No. Fuck right off.

You're not his family, I am. You should learn to be by yourself little girl, because next year you're going to be spending a lot of time that way. Get used to it.

Super Excited!

My Mom and brother are coming up on Sunday.

It's been 20 months since I have seen them and I absolutely cannot wait!

Lately I've noticed that a lot of people's true colors have been coming out. Whether it be online or people's actions towards others. There are some very petty and passive aggressive people out there. I just can't seem to wrap my head around why. If you love somebody - don't do things to hurt them or rub it in their faces. It's not cool.

I hate seeing the people I love being hurt by people that are so completely self centered they can't see anything beyond their own reflection in the mirror.

I cannot wait!

My Mom and Russell are going to be coming next week!

So excited to see them. It's been 20 months since I've seen my Mom or brother and I've been very homesick. I am sad that my Dad can't come because of work, but I'll take two over none at all.

It will be nice to have help getting my plumbing working again and getting some small stuff done around my home. Russell will get to see where he will be living after he graduates and finally meet Lucy and the birds and Chloe. I am hoping to arrange a tour of NAIT (where he will be going after grad in June) so he can see the school and get excited for it. I think a few driving lessons in the city will be due for him as well.

I don't have furniture for them to sit on or any tables or anything, or tv... so it will be more like camping for them than anything... but it will just be nice to be in the presence of family.

I do think it will be sad for my Mom to see how I've been living though. A house with no drainage, no toilet, no furniture, nothing to entertain you, I don't have transportation, I bare shelves and and empty fridge, I don't have anywhere comfortable to sit or sleep, I don't have proper or enough clothing, my shoes are falling apart, I don't have heat.

I just really hope it doesn't upset them.

Homesick!

My older brother, sister-in-law, and niece are all in Armstrong visiting my parents. I was supposed to be there this weekend (was planning on doing it months ago) but money issues, etc... have prevented me from doing so. Therefore I am feeling homesick and le sad. Being away from home for so long is really depressing... it's been 18 months since I was last home. I wish I could go to the Okanagan.

My brother is going to be coming here to go to school next summer - he will be attending NAIT. I am already counting down the days. I am so excited to have him. Gruesome twosome under the same roof again? Nobody will know what hit them! lol - We'll rule the park. I'm pretty sure "Operation Bubbles" will be underway. (Russ will get this - the rest of you suckers won't.)

I had a bit of a blast from the past this week - reunited with an old friend - who is no longer a boy by any means. I kinda went DAMN!!! No, I don't care if he reads this he already knows lol.

Just finished burying Delilah.

It's the worst thing in the world.

I'm so sad. She was too young and I was supposed to have several more years with her.

Every time I walk into the house or go into the kitchen I still expect to see her greeting me. I don't think I'm ever going to get used to her not being there. Worst part is not knowing why.

My eyes are all swollen from crying yesterday. I couldn't bring myself to do much of anything today either. I think I'm allowed one day of doing nothing given the circumstances.

Lucy sat there in the same place looking at her cage again today. This time only for 5 hours. She got really upset when I carried her to my room and closed the door. I couldn't take it anymore, it was too saddening for me to allow her to do it any longer. She keeps looking around the house now in Delilah's favorite spots trying to find her. It tugs on my heart strings.

I know my other animals are feeling it. It makes this whole thing twice as heartbreaking.

I don't think my eyes have been dry all day.

I am so very sad right to my core right now.

Lucy sat there looking at Delilah's empty cage for over 7 hours. She didn't move an inch.

My house feels empty without her and I wasn't prepared for her to go this young.

It's so unfair. I'm so sorry my sweet little bunny.

It's going to take me a long time to get over this.

I am so heartbroken. Rest in Peace Delilah.

My beautiful cheeky rabbit just died. I thought she was sleeping and I went to wake her and she didn't wake up. She was fine this morning. My home is never going to feel the same without her. I am so sad right now. I don't think anybody could possibly know how much I loved her.

Yesterday Morning....

I went to Timmy's for some coffee and I witnessed something that really infuriated and upset me. I'm still thinking about it today and now I'm regretting not saying anything.

So I'm leaving and about to go to the door when I see an older fat fuck ask the Filipino lady who works there if she can wipe off his CLEAN table. She says sure and wipes it off, and he says thanks. She did this in a friendly way with a smile on her face and then went back to what she was doing as she should. As soon as she turns her back he utters a word at her rather loudly: CUNT.

Normally under the circumstances I would have instantaneously started yelling at this stupid piece of shit for a man, but I am sick right now and feeling rather horrible and I couldn't bring myself to do anything else but stop in my place and stare at him with a fucking look of death and utter disgust. I proceeded to walk out the door and around the front with my full on hate daggers until he was out of site. I think he got the message. I don't think he cared.

What on earth did this woman do to deserve to be called that undeservingly? Obviously this guy was some sort of a racist or a bigot.

As far as I am concerned this useless waste of the air we all breathe is a disgrace to this country, and he should be glad I was feeling so weak at the time because I probably would have taken the tray his breakfast was on and beat him to a bloody pulp with it otherwise.

Sad thing is, I was so upset at his blatant display of being a waste of an egg and a sperm I don't think I'm joking when I say I would have done it. I don't think I've felt instantaneous rage like that in a very very very long time.

He better hope to never cross my path. He won't leave with testicles.

So yesterday was good.

I spent the entire day with Suzanne and Nick. We chilled at West Edmonton Mall and then went and did Nick's hair. By time we got to Clareview the hail was coming down so hard, I got pelted in the head a couple of times pretty decently, and then by time we ran from the train to the bus we were all soaked. It was crazy thunder and lightning out. Going to their house was even worse, the street was pretty much a creek with ankle deep water. I think my shoes are probably still wet. I bleached Nick's hair and made his mohawk purple at the roots and then blue at the tips (but it gradients out). It looked really sweet.

Now everybody has purple and blue hair except me. :(
Oh well. I like the good 'ol red.

It was a really good day and I think we all have to do it again - although next time I want Nick to go on the mindbender!

So as for today: Woke up with a headache. Stepped on a shard of glass and bled everywhere, and realized I'm finally feeling a bit hungry but I have no food in the house. Great start to the day! Really. Why can't I have two good days in a row? Oh, and it is still raining. When will we get summer? I dislike how this year is perpetual winter then Vancouver weather.

I am seriously sad...

In other news...

I am still damp from my unfortunate walk home. I was completely soaked through my jacket by time I reached the LRT station ONE block away from my work. It was raining so hard I may as well have brought out the soap and scrubber and called it a day.

Still can't try out my new lawn mower because of the rain. Grr.

What else? Oh, I had weird dreams last night. It involved a person from my not-so-distant past. It was really strange though, almost like a super bad omen on this person. Like something horrible is going to happen (or recently has) to them - and not the kind of ha-ha karma's a bitch sort of thing. I dunno, when I have dreams like that something always happens. There was a girl in my dream too. She was somehow associated with this person. I don't know who she is though. It puzzles me when I see people I don't know in my dreams, they always reveal themselves to me later on and I get super intense deja-vu. She was shorter... had brownish/reddish curly hair past her shoulders, kinda chubby and had a lime green phone (the phone in the dream represented really bad news). It's bizarre. If I meet her I'll post a picture and say I told you so!

In my heart of hearts I really hope it's just nothing. I may have a sharp tongue, but I care about everybody no matter how much of a reason I have not to. I consider it my greatest weakness in all honesty.

What else? Oh! I got great responses to my article on Empire Building. I am super excited about it and will be doing follow up sometime in the near future.

For my Empire Avenue friends: What do you think of new market makers? I think it's doing nothing but promoting excessive spam and I hope they change their minds on this soon.

Thank you to the firefighters who were here so incredibly fast. No word on whether or not it's out yet but I'm not seeing smoke anymore which is a good thing.

I guess we'll find out. Right now = very nervous.

Anyways, now I am sitting here COMPLETELY soaking wet head to toe from the rain. Probably was a stupid thing to go outside in a storm like that but my first thoughts were "Holy Shit", "Call 911!" and "If the fire is close get the animals out now."

Mother nature = one serious bitch.

So today was kind of hurty and emotional.

I had super intense muscle spasms starting at 3 am last night. My Achilles tendons were causing my calf muscles to seize. I literally woke up screaming it hurt so badly.

It happens whenever I do too much - like walk too fast, or go up one too many stairs. It sucks so badly.

So I could barely even get out of my bed this morning because every time I even tried to move it would spasm. I ended up staying home and not going to work because I couldn't even effing walk. I deal with pain every day. It's nothing new to me, but this week had been particularly bad for me for some reason. I think trying to use a push lawn mower has a lot to do with it. I hadn't felt this bad in quite a while.

When I was little a doctor made a negligent mistake that is the reason why I have all these problems now. My Dad had brought up this doctor on my facebook wall and I saw a site with a whole bunch of comments from other patients who this doctor (Antonio Preto) has also ruined their lives. It made me cry. It makes me feel so angry that this dick is still practicing medicine with much the same result. How come he still has a license?

Anyways, at least the day will end on a happier note for me. Thanks to my friends on Empire Avenue - Lance in particular. Thanks for making me smile babe and taking my mind off all the other unpleasant crap going on!

New song.

Started writing this about a year and a half ago.. and I started recording it, but I cannot afford a USB interface right now so that's not going so well.

I have a couple of song titles thought out for it. Either "Screwed" or the name of the person this is about. The entire album concept is songs about people who have affected me, good or bad (but mostly bad)... lol... and I was seriously considering being really blunt and actually putting their names in all the song titles. Two of the songs already do (Obsessed with Bethany, and Andrew's song) and that won't be changed.

This particular person would have more than one song about them though so I need to figure that out.
